Job Description
Airbus offers an apprenticeship opportunity for an Apprentice Engineer – Integration, Test and Analytics at its Bengaluru location. The role is part of the Integration and Flight Test Analysis department, which supports system integration and flight test activities across aerospace programs.
This apprenticeship program is expected to run for 12 months and is planned to begin in July 2026, with some flexibility in the start date. Participants work alongside experienced engineers while gaining practical exposure to aerospace systems, simulation environments, and data-driven analysis.
Main Responsibilities
- Tool Development and Coding: Assist in designing and maintaining software tools, mainly using Python, to parse data, automate workflows, and connect multiple aerospace systems.
- Simulation and Data Replay: Support integration of flight data into simulator environments, including converting CSV data into formats suitable for 3D replay to assist with system visualization and incident analysis.
- Test Execution and Analysis: Run system-level tests on integration benches or simulators, review outcomes for anomalies, and document observations under the supervision of senior engineers.
- Innovation and AI Exploration: Contribute to initiatives that explore Machine Learning and Generative AI methods to reduce manual testing work and enhance predictive analysis.
Learning and Development
During the apprenticeship, a mentor will help guide professional development and technical learning. The program provides exposure to practical engineering workflows and aerospace systems.
- Software and AI Development: Gain experience with Python-based development, software architecture concepts, and applying Machine Learning or Generative AI in automation and industrial workflows.
- Aerospace Domain Knowledge: Build understanding of aircraft subsystems such as flight controls, avionics, and navigation while working with flight data analysis.
- Simulation and Data Engineering: Learn how to convert raw Flight Data Recorder inputs into simulation-ready formats and interact with simulator environments for replay and analysis.
- System Verification and Automation: Understand engineering testing lifecycles, progressing from manual testing procedures toward scalable automated test frameworks for complex systems.
