Job Description
Airbus offers an apprenticeship opportunity within its Finance department in Bangalore. The role supports the Controlling and Accounting teams while providing hands-on exposure to financial operations inside a global aerospace organization.
This program is designed as a 12 month apprenticeship expected to begin around July 2026, with some flexibility in the start date. Participants work closely with a mentor who helps define professional objectives and develop key finance skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation and support of budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Invoice Processing: Process supplier invoices accurately according to tax invoice, purchase order and goods receipt note requirements using the three way matching process.
- Accounting Tasks: Support basic accounting activities including data entry and account reconciliations.
- Reimbursements: Process employee expense claims in line with company policy and timelines.
- Report Generation: Help prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports using financial systems.
- Data Analysis: Review financial data, identify trends and assist in preparing analytical reports.
- Spreadsheet Management: Create and maintain spreadsheets for different financial processes and tracking activities.
- Compliance and Audits: Assist the team in compliance activities and support audit related tasks.
- Presentation Preparation: Develop presentations related to finance topics and reporting.
- Project Support: Provide assistance on finance related projects when required.
- Communication: Share financial information clearly with relevant stakeholders.
Learning Outcomes
During the apprenticeship, participants gain exposure to financial analysis, technical accounting practices, and operational finance processes such as Record to Report (R2R) and Procure to Pay (P2P).
The role also requires awareness of compliance risks and adherence to integrity and ethical standards that support Airbus' long term success and reputation.
