Airbus India is offering an apprenticeship opportunity for the role of Apprentice - Structures at its Bangalore location. This program places you within the Structures department, focusing on Materials and Processes used in aircraft development and manufacturing.
The apprenticeship is designed for fresh graduates who want practical exposure in a global aerospace environment known for innovation, research, and digital transformation.
Program Overview
This is a structured apprenticeship program with an expected duration of about 12 months. During this period, you will work alongside experienced professionals and receive guidance from a dedicated tutor who will help you define professional goals and build technical capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain understanding of materials and manufacturing processes used in aircraft production.
- Assess sustainability aspects and environmental footprint of materials and processes applied in Airbus aircraft.
- Evaluate Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) implications related to materials and process choices.
- Support digitalization initiatives in materials data and explore the use of AI or ML approaches to improve materials and processes.
Skills and Exposure
- Aircraft materials including metals and composite materials.
- Sustainability assessment of materials and manufacturing processes in aviation.
- Opportunities for digitalization and automation in materials data and materials informatics.
This role also requires awareness of compliance standards and a commitment to integrity, supporting Airbus in maintaining responsible and sustainable operations.
