Airbus Apprentice – Physical Design & Integration | Bangalore

Job Description

Airbus India is offering an apprenticeship opportunity in the Physical Design and Integration (PDI) department in Bangalore. The team is responsible for system installation and cabin design activities across aircraft programs. This apprenticeship is designed for recent graduates who want to begin their career in an international aerospace organization focused on research, innovation, and digital technologies.

The program is planned for a duration of 12 months and is expected to begin around July 2026, with some flexibility in the start date. During the apprenticeship, participants work closely with experienced teams while developing technical and professional capabilities in aircraft system integration and design.

Key Responsibilities

• Support system installation work packages related to cabin design, mechanical systems, and electrical systems.
• Assist in coordinating activities across different work packages and support group or work package leaders when required.
• Collaborate with multiple teams across Airframe, Systems, and Cabin domains including industrialization, standardization, research, and environmental integration.

• Mechanical System Installation (MSI)
• Electrical System Installation (ESI)
• Cabin design and DMU integration
• Configuration management practices
• Architecture studies and automation approaches

Participants receive guidance from an assigned tutor who helps define professional goals and supports skill development throughout the program.

Technical Knowledge

• Understanding of aircraft industrialization principles and aircraft build processes.
• Basic knowledge of system installation covering electrical and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with production management concepts and manufacturing processes.
• Exposure to data analytics methods is beneficial.
• Basic scripting knowledge in VB or Python is considered an advantage.
• Experience with modeling tools is preferred.
• Exposure to CATIA V5 tools and DMU concepts is an added advantage.

Candidates should have intermediate to advanced English proficiency. The role also requires awareness of compliance risks and a commitment to integrity, which supports the company’s reputation and sustainable growth.
