Job Description
The Flight Physics Capabilities team delivers optimized vehicle solutions by developing advanced capabilities at the core of Airbus vehicle architecture and integration. The team focuses on enabling efficient aircraft design through advanced engineering methods and tools.
This role focuses on designing, developing, and validating aerodynamics methods and tools, particularly in the field of aerodata for aircraft design. The position also supports multidisciplinary integration across connected engineering domains.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Analyze the business context, design and document technical solutions, present proposals to stakeholders, and support project teams during implementation.
- Ensure compliance with defined software quality standards.
- Perform feasibility studies within complex and heterogeneous project environments.
- Carry out verification and validation (V&V) of developed tools and features.
- Work collaboratively within cross functional teams and contribute to a strong team culture.
Preferred Background and Capabilities
- Interest in learning new technologies with strong analytical thinking.
- Experience in tool development and workflow automation.
- Exposure to behavioural modelling, simulation, computational fluid dynamics, and numerical methods.
- Understanding of systems engineering practices or requirements specifications.
- Knowledge of geometric modelling, analytical geometry, and linear algebra.
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a technical environment.
- Fluency in English.
Nice to Have
- Experience with programming languages such as C or C++ and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of reduced order modelling techniques.
- Experience with SAFe or Agile ways of working.
- Exposure to high performance computing environments, remote desktops, and job batching.
- Familiarity with cloud-based programming or artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts.
