Women of Mettle 2025 is a flagship initiative by Tata Steel designed to identify, support, and nurture talented young women engineers across India. The program is aimed at promoting gender diversity in technical roles and encouraging promising students to pursue careers in manufacturing and engineering domains. This year marks the 9th edition of the competition.
It is not just a scholarship—it is a complete career-building platform that includes a technical challenge, internship opportunity, mentorship from industry leaders, and a Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) for selected candidates.
Eligibility Criteria
To participate in Women of Mettle 2025, students must fulfill the following criteria:
Gender: Female only
Course Type: Full-time 4-year B.Tech/B.E. program
Year of Study: Currently in the 2nd year (i.e., graduating in 2027)
Academic Performance: Must be in the top 25% of their stream with no active backlogs
Medical Fitness: Must meet Tata Steel’s medical eligibility criteria
