The Centre for Brain Research (CBR), located at the prestigious Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, invites applications for the CBRAIN Internship Program 2025. This structured and competitive program is tailored for students and young professionals who aspire to gain in-depth, hands-on research experience in neuroscience, particularly in the field of brain aging.
The CBRAIN Internship offers a rare opportunity to work alongside leading scientists in neuroscience and neurodegenerative diseases. Interns will participate in cutting-edge research on the aging brain, spanning molecular biology, cellular neuroscience, and neurophysiology. The goal is to develop future leaders in research by providing practical exposure and fostering scientific thinking.
Shorter durations are typically not entertained, though longer engagements may be considered for exceptional cases based on the intern’s performance and interest.
Each selected intern will receive a stipend of ₹20,000 per month for the duration of the internship. Please note:

Interns will be engaged in various research modules focused on the aging brain, including:
Each intern will be paired with a mentor and may collaborate across teams, depending on the selected project. A detailed report and possibly a poster presentation are expected upon program completion.
