IIRS offers two structured opportunities for students:

Who Can Apply? – Eligibility Criteria #
1. For Internship Scheme
- Must be a citizen of India.
- Students must be pursuing (or have recently completed within 6 months) UG/PG/PhD in Science or Technology disciplines.
- Applicable for students from Indian and foreign recognized universities.
- Minimum academic requirement:
- 60% aggregate marks or
- CGPA of 6.32 on a scale of 10.
2. For Student Project Trainee Scheme

- No stipend or financial support will be provided.
- No accommodation is arranged by IIRS.
- On successful completion and submission of the final report, students will receive a Certificate of Completion, post evaluation by the concerned department.

- Selection depends on:
- Availability of guides/faculty at IIRS,
- Academic performance and background,
- Subject-relevance to ongoing research,
- Duration and timing of the proposed work.
- Internship/Project cannot be extended beyond initially approved duration.
- Interns will only work in non-classified areas of ISRO/IIRS facilities.
