The Electronics and Radar Development Establishment (LRDE), under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India, Bengaluru, invites applications for a 6-month paid internship program for eligible undergraduate and postgraduate students in engineering and science disciplines.
Overview of LRDE Internship Program #
The DRDO LRDE Internship Scheme aims to provide exposure to indigenous radar technologies developed by LRDE. Selected interns will gain hands-on experience in defense research and contribute to ongoing R&D activities.
Program Name: DRDO Paid Internship at LRDE
Location: LRDE, CV Raman Nagar, Bengaluru – 560093
Duration: 6 months (1st August 2025 – 31st January 2026)
Attendance Requirement: Minimum 15 working days/month
Monthly Stipend: ₹5,000 (Paid in two installments)

- Foster collaboration between students and DRDO in radar and related technologies.
- Help students understand and contribute to defense innovation.
- Consider internship as part of their degree curriculum.

Who Can Apply? #
1. Nationality
Only Indian nationals are eligible.
2. For BE/BTech Students (UG)
- Must have completed or appeared for 6th semester (3rd year).
- Should have at least 70% aggregate marks in 1st to 6th semesters.
3. For ME/MTech/M.Sc Students (PG)
- Must have completed or appeared for 2nd semester (1st year).
- Should have minimum 70% aggregate in 1st year.
Internship Duration and Attendance #
- Tenure: 6 months
- Start Date: 01 August 2025
- Interns must attend office at least 15 days per month to be eligible for certificate and stipend disbursement.
Stipend Structure #
- Total Stipend: ₹30,000
- ₹15,000 after completion of first 3 months (based on evaluation)
- ₹15,000 after successful completion of internship

Step 2: Attach College Referral Letter (Annexure II)
The application must be routed through your college, on official letterhead, signed by the Principal/HOD/Internship Coordinator.
