Who Can Apply – Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the NITI Aayog Internship Scheme, applicants must fulfill one of the following academic categories:

Undergraduate Students

• Must have completed or appeared in the second year (4th semester) of their bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 85% marks in Class 12.

Postgraduate Students

• Should have completed or appeared in the first year (2nd semester) of their post-graduate course.

Recent Graduates

Internship Duration and Commitment

• Minimum Period: 6 weeks
• Maximum Period: 6 months
• Attendance Requirement: Minimum 75% mandatory
• Working Days: Monday to Friday
• Interns must submit an end-of-internship report/paper and log their daily attendance.

When to Apply

• Applications are accepted only online from 1st to 10th of every month.
• Apply up to 6 months in advance but not later than 2 months before the desired internship month.

3. Upload the required academic details and select one domain of interest.

Selection Procedure

• All applications are reviewed by heads of divisions/units within NITI Aayog.
• Each division can select up to three interns (extendable with CEO approval).
• Selected interns may be asked to submit the soft copy of their NOC prior to offer issuance.
• Final selection is based on eligibility, academic merit, and division requirements.

Certificate of Completion

• Issued only after successful completion of the internship with at least 75% attendance.
• Includes evaluation of performance, punctuality, and the report submitted.

• Conversion from CGPA to percentage is mandatory.
