Role Purpose

The role focuses on designing, testing, and maintaining software programs used in operating systems or applications deployed at the client environment. The objective is to ensure the developed solutions meet required quality standards and function reliably.

Responsibilities

Understand Requirements and Product Design

• Study information needs, system flow, data usage, and work processes to develop software solutions.
• Investigate problem areas and follow the defined software development life cycle.
• Conduct root cause analysis for system issues and identified problems.
• Suggest improvements that enhance system performance and availability.
• Analyze client requirements and convert them into feasible technical designs.
• Collaborate with functional teams or system analysts performing detailed requirement analysis.
• Consult with project managers to gather details about software capabilities and project needs.

Software Development and Coding

• Assess operational feasibility by reviewing requirements, analysis, and proposed software solutions.
• Develop and automate validation processes by designing and executing test cases, scenarios, and usage cases.
• Modify existing software to fix errors, adapt to new hardware, enhance performance, or upgrade interfaces.
• Analyze system information to plan installation of new solutions or modifications to existing systems.
• Ensure code quality with minimal defects and successful test execution.
• Prepare reports covering project specifications, activities, and status.
• Raise code changes according to project or account standards with clear descriptions and replication patterns.
• Create accurate documentation and reports when requested.
• Coordinate with team members on daily project progress and maintain related documentation.
• Provide usability and serviceability feedback, track quality risks, and report findings to relevant stakeholders.

Status Reporting and Customer Interaction

• Capture client requirements and clarifications to improve delivery quality.
• Collect feedback regularly to ensure smooth and timely project completion.
• Participate in continuous learning initiatives to stay updated with best practices and new programming languages.
• Consult with engineering teams to evaluate software and hardware interfaces and define performance requirements.
• Document and present solutions using flowcharts, diagrams, layouts, charts, and clear code comments.
• Maintain formal documentation from proposal through implementation for better understanding of the software.
• Ensure professional communication with customers through email, calls, and issue tracking.
• Respond promptly to customer requests and maintain a complaint free service experience.

Performance Metrics

• Continuous Integration, Deployment and Monitoring: error free onboarding and implementation, adherence to release schedules, and throughput targets.
• Quality and Customer Satisfaction: timely delivery, effective software management, troubleshooting support, and completion of required certifications.
• MIS and Reporting: generation of accurate reports and MIS submissions within defined timelines.
