Role Purpose
The Junior Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and troubleshooting solutions, models, and simulations using appropriate software tools according to client or project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Design and Development
- Create and develop solutions based on client specifications.
- Work with software tools such as CAD and CAE to build models aligned with project plans and customer requirements.
- Test prototypes and designs created within the software environment and validate boundary conditions including impact and stress analysis.
- Prepare specifications and assess operational feasibility by integrating components into a fully functional system.
- Create prototypes using engineering drawings and develop corresponding CAD models.
- Perform failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) for new client requirements.
- Run simulations in virtual environments to provide optimized solutions.
- Ensure tools and software are updated with the latest features to maintain efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- Enhance applications or solutions by identifying improvement opportunities and implementing recommended changes.
- Follow industry standard operating procedures when modeling and developing solutions.
Customer Support and Issue Resolution
- Resolve defects reported by clients or integration teams and address support tickets.
- Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems to maintain performance and efficiency.
- Deploy programs and gather user feedback to ensure proper resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to project plans and relevant industry standards.
Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare weekly and monthly status reports for clients.
- Maintain documentation and repositories of design updates and recommendations.
- Record time sheets and maintain project related records.
- Provide written knowledge transfer and maintain project history documentation.
