Overview
Internship Role & Responsibilities:
As a Software Development Intern, you will support our product development team in building and enhancing the WeInvest digital wealth platform. You will be exposed to cutting-edge technology, agile practices, and real-world software development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work within an agile team to build scalable, multi-tiered, customer-facing internet applications
- Collaborate on developing features using modern programming languages, primarily Ruby on Rails
- Write clean, maintainable code and conduct automated testing with RSpec and related tools
- Implement test-driven development practices and support continuous integration workflows
- Assist QA team members in establishing performance testing protocols
- Participate in daily scrums, sprint planning, and code reviews
- Demonstrate initiative and ownership in delivering high-quality code
Candidate Profile:
- Currently pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science
- 2–4 months of internship or project experience in software development
- Strong logical and analytical reasoning skills
- Good understanding of computer science fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming, and system design
- Hands-on experience in one or more programming languages: Ruby, Python, JavaScript
- Familiarity with Ruby on Rails ecosystem including RSpec, Factory Girl, Bootstrap, and jQuery preferred
- Experience working on internet-based applications with real users
- Exposure to agile development methodologies and DevOps practices is a plus
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
