What You Will Do
Volvo Group Purchasing is focused on building sustainable transport and infrastructure solutions through a strong global supplier ecosystem. The Purchasing Strategy & Digitalization (PS&D) function operates as a Centre of Excellence, driving purchasing strategy, digitalization, governance, harmonization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The team works closely with global stakeholders, line functions, and suppliers to support digital and IT projects that create business value. PS&D also collaborates on transformation and change management activities across the organization.

You are passionate about transformation within the purchasing domain and enjoy working in a fast-paced global environment. The role requires attention to detail, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the ability to contribute to purchasing-related operational activities.
The Volvo Group Purchasing Support Center consists of skilled professionals supporting global purchasing communities through tactical purchasing activities and supplier coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain handler logs and support portfolio activities, order management, and priority aftermarket requisitions.
- Manage RFQ activities including launching requests, following up for quotations, and responding to supplier queries with buyers and cross-functional teams.
- Compile and analyze supplier quotations, prepare summary reports, and support cost breakdown analysis.
- Resolve supplier and portfolio-related issues along with supplier price discrepancy handling.
- Perform analytical activities such as price inconsistency analysis, ABC analysis, 80/20 analysis, supplier spend analysis, volume trend analysis, and dashboard reporting.
- Support supplier integration activities including EDI connections, supplier portal access, and supplier administration tasks.
- Assist with taxonomy, segmentation support, and maintenance of departmental dashboards and reports.
Qualifications
- BE/B.Tech degree in Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical & Electronics, or Industrial Engineering.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and costing practices.
- Knowledge of MS Office and advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong collaboration and networking capabilities while working with global stakeholders and suppliers.
