About the NATS Program
The National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) is a Government of India initiative aimed at developing industry-ready skills among young graduates in technical disciplines. Under the Apprentices Act, 1961 (amended in 1973), Volvo Group offers a one year Graduate Apprentice program that focuses on practical, on the job training and hands-on learning.
Purpose
As part of ongoing digital transformation initiatives, the organization is focusing on automating manual processes and leveraging data from multiple systems. The role supports initiatives that improve efficiency through data driven insights and process improvements.
The apprentice will collaborate with operational teams and solution experts across the Volvo Group to support digital transformation efforts and analytics driven decision making.
What You Will Do
- Collect, visualize, and analyze data related to business challenges or improvement opportunities.
- Extract and structure data using analytics tools and prepare datasets for analysis.
- Develop data models and build standard reports or dashboards for broader user groups.
- Perform analytical work and statistical modeling on large datasets to uncover patterns and trends.
- Support insights that help guide data informed decisions within the organization.
Who You Are
Educational Qualification
- B.E. or B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, or Information Technology.
Technical Skills
- Strong capability in data analysis and problem solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables, lookup functions, and data analysis features.
- Basic familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Understanding of data collection, cleansing, and reporting practices.
- Knowledge of statistics and analytical concepts.
- Basic SQL knowledge for extracting and manipulating data.
- Ability to interpret trends and translate data into actionable insights.
