About the Role

Veralto is looking for a highly motivated Data Scientist Trainee with a keen interest in computer vision and OCR (Optical Character Recognition). Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and fine-tuning of computer vision and OCR models using deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow
• Support preprocessing and annotation of image datasets for training and evaluation purposes
• Conduct experiments with neural network architectures like CNNs and Transformers, and document results
• Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to enhance model accuracy and monitor deployment performance
• Analyze experimental data to draw insights and improve model capabilities

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field
• Basic understanding of neural networks, especially convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and transformers
• Familiarity with Python and libraries such as OpenCV, TensorFlow, and PyTorch
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset
• Eagerness to work on real-world AI challenges and contribute to impactful projects
