The Opportunity

UST is looking for a Validation Technician to join its semiconductor product validation work.

Responsibilities

• Learn and begin installing and configuring Microsoft operating systems.
• Identify the test cases to be executed from the available set of test cases.
• Build a basic understanding of platform hardware and software components for post-silicon and pre-silicon validation, including benchmark tools, stress and stability testing, and power management.
• Reproduce failures reported in required platform configurations and manage defects.
• Gain basic knowledge of system BIOS, UEFI framework and architecture, USB, multimedia, drivers, camera, disk, desktop, power management, Type C, and silicon technologies.
• Analyze system power states and device states, and understand and analyze test strategies.
• Work according to the client schedule, with flexible work location and timing.
• Work with systems mounted on racks.
• Understand the features of various Windows products and execute the test cases.
• Attend standup meetings and understand requirements before testing.
• Assemble computer systems.
• Understand, articulate, and isolate issues observed during test execution.
