Job Description
Unisys is looking for a highly motivated Junior Software Engineer to join our global engineering team in Bangalore. This role offers a valuable opportunity for recent graduates to begin their careers in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members to learn internal processes, tools, and product knowledge.
- Participate in team tasks and contribute to team productivity and efficiency as experience grows.
- Understand and implement defined tasks under the supervision of a mentor or supervisor.
- Write and run test cases within assigned product areas; document issues found.
- Execute pre-written test cases and document any problems encountered.
- Assist in basic debugging and problem resolution by gathering relevant information.
- Fix simple bugs with guidance and create detailed change/patch documentation.
- Review test cases for clarity and provide feedback.
- Support handling of contacts and user change forms (UCFs) within defined areas.
- Work effectively as part of virtual teams with global members and stakeholders.
- Participate in system setup, maintenance, and innovation activities.
- Create knowledge documents to support the development and support process.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or a related field.
- 0–1 year of experience (internship or cooperative experience preferred).
- Understanding of software engineering principles and programming fundamentals.
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—with a good command of English.
- Ability to collaborate in a global, multicultural team across multiple geographies.
- Problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn.
- Willingness to receive guidance and mentorship.
