Job Description
United Airlines is hiring for the position of Associate Data Engineer to join our Digital Technology team. If you're passionate about building scalable data systems, working with modern cloud tools, and being part of a forward-thinking team, this is your chance.
As a Data Engineer at United, you’ll work with business analysts, software developers, and data scientists to design and implement efficient data pipelines and systems that enable data-driven decision-making.
This is an entry-level opportunity ideal for fresh graduates or those with up to 1 year of experience in the field of data engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop data systems and pipelines using modern cloud technologies such as AWS Glue, S3, Athena, Lambda, Spark, Redshift
- Gather and organize data from diverse sources including RDBMS, file systems, APIs, and cloud storage
- Build and maintain standardized data layers on AWS Data Lake
- Implement data quality checks using the Deequ framework
- Analyze raw data and generate insights for stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Maintain clear documentation and reports
Eligibility Criteria
- Experience Required: 0–1 year (entry-level)
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech)
- Must be legally authorized to work in India without employer sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications
- Up to 2 years of experience in data engineering roles
- Exposure to large-scale data systems and real-time data integration
- Experience with data quality frameworks and AWS ecosystem
- Strong understanding of data architecture and ETL design
