Associate Analyst - Network Planning & Analytics

United Airlines is seeking an Associate Analyst to support the Network Planning & Alliances team. The team focuses on building flight schedules, optimizing routes, and improving travel experiences across United’s global network.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze operational and commercial performance of United’s schedule and recommend improvements for efficiency and margins.
• Support the development of strategic plans to maximize long-term network profitability.
• Evaluate fleet deployment strategies to improve revenue and reduce costs.
• Ensure short-term schedules remain operationally feasible.
• Contribute to improving analytical methodologies and reporting approaches.
• Create presentations for leadership teams and external stakeholders.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis on route networks and fleet operations.
• Experiment with new analytical tools and AI solutions while considering limitations related to accuracy, privacy, bias, and human judgment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 0 to 1 year of experience.
• Strong interest in solving business problems using data-driven approaches.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Ability to work legally in India without sponsorship.
• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics or Engineering is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Excel and PowerPoint is preferred.
• Knowledge of database querying tools and experience with Teradata SQL, HIVE, or Spark is preferred.
• Knowledge of Python is an added advantage.
