Roles and Responsibilities
As a Junior Engineer – Software Engineering at Unisys, you will:
- Work as an active team member and engage in continuous learning of tools and processes.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and improving team efficiency as you gain experience.
- Escalate technical issues to mentors or supervisors as needed.
- Implement defined software tasks under guidance, including simple features and test cases.
- Write and execute pre-defined tests, document problems, and assist in system setup and maintenance.
- Analyze technical problems in assigned areas and assist with debugging and resolution.
- Fix bugs and provide patch documentation for minor issues with assistance from senior team members.
- Review test cases for accuracy and handle client requests and feedback within your product domain.
- Work effectively as part of a global, distributed team with remote collaboration.
- Participate in innovation and knowledge documentation initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field
- Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals
- Good command over spoken and written English
- Willingness to work in a collaborative and diverse environment
- Ability to communicate clearly and follow guidance from stakeholders across different global locations
- Team-oriented with a proactive attitude
