About the Role
Deloitte is seeking a Trainee Associate - NOC to join its Artificial Intelligence & Engineering team. This role involves ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of critical IT infrastructure and applications through proactive monitoring, incident response, and automation initiatives. You will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to maintain service quality in a 24/7 operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform real-time monitoring using tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, Azure Monitor, Solarwinds, Datadog, and Nagios.
- Act as an Incident Coordinator, managing major incident calls, escalating tickets, and documenting resolution steps.
- Triage and route tickets according to SOPs, ensuring rapid acknowledgement and resolution.
- Maintain and update knowledge bases to improve first-line support efficiency.
- Identify recurring issues and propose automation solutions to reduce manual intervention.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Operations, Product teams, and third-party vendors for effective incident resolution.
- Track and report KPIs such as Mean Time to Detect/Resolve, change validations, and incidents avoided.
- Provide 24x7x365 service coverage, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Required Skills and Experience
- 0 to 6 months of experience in IT operations, NOC/SOC, incident management, or application support.
- Proficiency in system and application monitoring tools and ITSM platforms like ServiceNow and JIRA.
- Familiarity with alert configuration, dashboard creation, and real-time monitoring.
- ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
- Exposure to scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (BSc-IT, BCA).
- Experience with on-premise and cloud/hybrid environments (Azure, GCP, AWS).
- Knowledge of configuration management databases and SLAs.
Work Location
Chennai and Hyderabad, India. This role requires working from the Offshore Delivery Center or client location with rotational shifts.
