As a Software Engineer at Texas Instruments (TI), you will participate in the Career Accelerator Program (CAP) during your first year. This program is designed to provide both professional and technical training to fast-track your career development at TI. You will engage in hands-on, meaningful experiences from day one, including function-specific training and practical on-the-job learning.

In this role, you will be involved in software architecture design, embedded application development, and creation of development tools. Your responsibilities will include coding to optimize chip operations, testing product features, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as marketing, systems engineering, applications, and customer support.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop embedded software and tools for testing hardware products
  • Write code for TI chips to operate in innovative new ways
  • Participate in full software development lifecycle
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external customers to solve real-world business problems
  • Understand and apply industry best practices for real-time embedded systems
  • Contribute to the development of SDKs and embedded products
  • Provide direct customer support throughout the product lifecycle
  • Create technical documentation, application demos, and training materials

Required Qualifications

  • Education:
    Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum Academic Performance:
    Cumulative GPA of 6.0/10.0 or higher
  • Technical Skills:
    C, C++, assembly language, software development lifecycle, embedded systems, real-time systems, SDK development, software debugging, software architecture design, technical documentation

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
