Job Description

Tesla is hiring a Frontend Software Engineer proficient in Angular for its Pune location. As part of the Tesla Energy team, you’ll contribute to internal tools that streamline the process management for the design, permitting, and installation of Tesla’s energy systems and products.

The position focuses on building stable and scalable platforms to support Tesla’s Energy and Vehicle products, ensuring optimized workflows from job inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support applications and systems within the team’s scope
• Write clean, maintainable, performant, and well-tested code to build features and resolve issues
• Develop unit tests and integration tests; coordinate with QA for timely regression testing
• Monitor system metrics, respond to alerts, and troubleshoot live production issues
• Analyze existing system architecture and suggest improvements
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Business teams to define and prioritize new feature development
• Communicate project dependencies, blockers, and timeline changes with stakeholders
• Own end-to-end development of features from design to production release
• Work on scalability, maintainability, availability, and visibility of software applications
• Create and maintain documentation for newly implemented features and technologies

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Solid understanding of web fundamentals including HTTP, REST, AJAX, and JSON
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript / ES6, and DOM manipulation
• Strong experience in Angular and knowledge of its core principles and design patterns
• Good understanding of relational databases and ability to write SQL queries and updates
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and best practices
• Familiarity with front-end build tools such as Vite, NPM, Yarn
• Exposure to GraphQL is a strong plus
