Position Overview

As a SW Test Development Engineer 1 at Dexcom, you will join a collaborative engineering team focused on ensuring the quality and reliability of cutting-edge software products. These solutions help millions of people living with diabetes worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in software requirements and design reviews.
• Create software verification plans, test protocols, and conduct risk analyses.
• Validate configuration, functionality, and user interface of software tools.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts.
• Execute verification plans and test protocols, documenting results.
• Track and manage issues in the bug tracking system.
• Analyze failures, investigate root causes, and collaborate with development teams.
• Prepare detailed test reports and communicate progress to management.
• Follow internal development, cybersecurity, and validation procedures in compliance with medical and security regulations.
• Update test protocols as requirements change and perform regression testing.
• Work closely with other engineers to resolve issues.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of mobile operating systems (iOS and Android).
• Experience in automated test script development using Java and Python.
• Ability to document test plans, maintain traceability, and generate reports.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting mobile applications using test tools.
• Experience with Linux/Mac terminal commands and ADB.
• Familiarity with mobile automation tools such as Android Studio, Xcode, Appium, and related utilities.
• Experience with GIT, Jfrog Artifactory, and repository management.
• Knowledge of defect life cycle and tracking tools like Jira.
• Experience in manual testing and methodologies including system, regression, black box, performance, and white box testing.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 0-2 years of related experience.
