About the Role
S&P Global is seeking a technically curious Software Engineering Intern to join the Commercial Technology team. The intern will collaborate with experienced engineers to build, maintain, and enhance both client-facing and internal platforms in a modern full‑stack environment.
This role offers practical exposure to real engineering workflows while contributing to ongoing development initiatives within commercial technology systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop features across front-end technologies such as React and Angular, and back-end systems using Java and Spring Boot.
- Work with PostgreSQL databases to support data retrieval and performance optimization.
- Assist with integration initiatives related to GenAI and large language models within commercial platforms.
- Support content management processes using DotCMS.
- Participate in agile development activities including daily standups, sprint planning, and code reviews.
- Collaborate with product managers and QA teams to assist with testing and release cycles.
What We Are Looking For
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Exposure to at least one of the following technologies: Java, React, Angular, or PostgreSQL.
- Basic familiarity with Git version control and REST APIs.
- Interest in emerging technologies, including generative AI.
