Role Overview
We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our Risk and Identity Solutions (VAS) department. In this role, you will design, develop, and deliver high-quality solutions following agile methodologies, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and enhance scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems using functional programming paradigms.
- Participate in requirement reviews and prepare functional and technical design documentation.
- Create and execute testing procedures for APIs, abstractions, and integration patterns, ensuring end-to-end coverage.
- Contribute to design reviews, providing input on requirements, designs, schedules, and potential issues.
- Work collaboratively to maintain productivity, predictability, and high-quality deliverables.
- Review code and oversee development/testing activities within the team.
- Engage in proof-of-concept initiatives and evaluate emerging technologies.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree OR 3+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant field.
- 0-1 years of experience in the technology industry with strong coding and testing skills.
- Proficiency in web applications, web services, Java, JavaScript, J2EE, XML, unit testing, shell scripting, and RDBMS.
- Experience with Cassandra, Solr, or NoSQL databases is advantageous.
- Familiarity with continuous integration, code/test coverage, and diverse development methodologies.
- Strong proactive communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
