About the Role
Join Akamai's Delivery Product Engineering Group and play a pivotal role in shaping the digital experiences of millions of users worldwide. As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to building high-resiliency, customer-facing systems that enhance our global CDN presence, meet compliance standards, and deliver outstanding performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable software solutions on Akamai's infrastructure.
- Implement new features and optimize existing functionalities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create innovative solutions for enterprise clients.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Strong programming skills with interest in learning new technologies.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts in Java or Python.
- Experience with web frameworks like Angular, Django, Spring, or Spring Boot.
- Knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle DB or PostgreSQL.
- Basic understanding of Linux OS, command-line tools, and computer networks (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and service-oriented architecture.
Work Environment
Akamai's FlexBase program offers permanent workplace flexibility, allowing most employees to choose between working remotely, from the office, or a combination of both. This role supports remote work within India.
