About the Role
As a Software Development Engineer 1 at Nokia, you will be part of the Optical Networks division, driving innovation in the AI-driven data center era. Following the acquisition of Infinera, Nokia has strengthened its position as a leader in optical networking, combining advanced technology with proven expertise to redefine connectivity worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement new functionalities using AI and Machine Learning technologies.
- Work with agile development tools such as JIRA, GIT, Confluence, and CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to debug and enhance systems.
- Integrate AI/ML solutions into existing systems in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure product functionality and quality before releasing new features and enhancements to end users.
Required Skills
- Programming Languages: Java, Python, Go, JavaScript
- Database Systems: SQL (Oracle/PostgreSQL) and cloud storage systems
- AI/ML: Experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn
- Basic understanding of network protocols and standards
Education
Master’s degree in Computer Science with strong academic performance.
