Societe Generale Hiring Analyst Data Quality (Bangalore)

Role Overview

This role sits within the SG Global Solution Centre (GSC) in Bangalore. The analyst will lead the delivery of data lineage and its upkeep for the GDO, and help set up a Data Lineage centre of excellence in GSC.

Key Responsibilities

• Take part in project initiation to implement data lineage requirements as the process evolves, then monitor each project through completion and validation.
• Build relationships across the organisation to understand, interpret and document the firm's data flows in line with the Data Governance Framework and methodology.
• Work with business and IT SMEs to define the bank's data in line with the enterprise-wide data language.
• Identify and document the key controls along the data flows that protect data integrity, and support control framework assessments so known gaps or issues are recorded.
• Work with the CDOs to build a complete front-to-back view of the data.
• Present findings to executive management through bilateral discussions and existing forums to confirm understanding and gain ratification.
• Maintain a high standard across project delivery and governance, including planning, status reporting and risk management.
• Contribute to the team's long-term vision, strategy and quarterly objectives and key results.
• Support the Lead Analyst and work with other team members, aligned businesses and control functions across teams and divisions.
• Onboard new joiners through training and guidance.
• Help draft and maintain standard operating procedures.
• Create the escalation framework and make sure it is followed.
• Flag discrepancies or anomalies in data in the right forums and track them.
