About the Founders
Founded in 2019 by experts from McKinsey’s Banking Practice and InMobi’s Data Science team, Bright’s leadership includes Petko Plachkov, Avi Patchava, Varun Modi, Avinash Ramakath, and Jayashree Merwade.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable components using Django/Python for Bright's Smart Banking Platform.
- Create intelligent algorithms and subsystems for lending and financial communications.
- Propose efficient design solutions for complex engineering challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute marketing and communications strategies.
- Conduct periodic and ad-hoc analyses of user acquisition activities and recommend strategic marketing investment allocations.
- Promote data literacy within the team and encourage adoption of in-house data tools.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with SQL.
- Strong analytical skills.
Preferred Skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities using first principles thinking.
- Experience integrating and developing REST services over backend frameworks (Django, Node.js).
- Proficiency in algorithms and data structures.
- Experience mentoring, conducting code reviews, and delivering technical presentations.
- Prior experience with Python-based frameworks.
- Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases at scale.
- Competitive programming achievements are a plus.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
