What you'll do
You will work within a feature team to engineer software, scripts, and supporting tools. The role involves collaborating with engineers, architects, and business analysts across the platform to deliver reliable solutions.
- Develop complex and business critical software with strong quality and speed
- Work in long-term teams responsible for the entire software lifecycle, from initial development to enhancement, maintenance, and eventual retirement
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve overall software engineering capability
- Design, build, test, and implement working software solutions
- Participate across the full lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and operational support
The skills you'll need
A background in software engineering, design, and architecture is expected, along with an understanding of how your technical work supports customer needs.
- Experience using development and testing tools, bug tracking systems, and documentation platforms such as wikis
- Familiarity with multiple programming languages or low-code development toolsets
- Exposure to DevOps practices and Agile methodologies with associated tools
- Ability to address complex analytical and numerical problems
- Understanding of programming best practices including scalability, automation, virtualisation, optimisation, availability, and performance
