About the Role
Comcast is seeking a Quality and Automation Engineer 1 to join our team in Chennai, India. In this role, you will be responsible for validating product quality through automated testing, ensuring high standards in code consistency and performance. You will collaborate with software engineers to develop efficient, repeatable, and reliable automation scripts that cover front-end, middleware, and database systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts following software engineering standards to ensure repeatable and reliable testing.
- Analyze failed test cases, diagnose issues, and apply fixes to restore functionality.
- Execute automated test suites and evaluate test results for quality assurance.
- Maintain automation codebases in version control systems such as Git or SVN.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to meet product automation requirements.
- Ensure consistent application of independent judgment in significant matters.
- Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime when required.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in automation testing or software quality assurance.
