About the Role
Comcast, a Fortune 30 global media and technology leader, is seeking a Quality and Automation Engineer 1 to join our innovative engineering team in Chennai, India. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring product quality by developing and executing automated tests, reducing manual testing efforts, and improving code quality and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for front-end, middleware, and database systems using modern tools and programming languages.
- Collaborate with software engineers to design efficient automation code following coding standards and best practices.
- Analyze and repair broken automation scripts to ensure smooth test execution.
- Maintain automation codebase in version control systems such as Git or SVN.
- Evaluate test results and provide detailed reports to the engineering team.
- Work with moderate guidance and exercise independent judgment in problem-solving.
- Adhere to company operating principles, focusing on customer experience, teamwork, and continuous learning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 0-2 years of relevant work experience in quality assurance or test automation.
- Proficiency in programming for test automation and familiarity with test frameworks.
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git or SVN.

Compensation & Benefits
