Job Description
Qualcomm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineer Associate to join their team in Hyderabad. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or individuals with up to one year of experience in software or system testing. The candidate will work closely with experienced engineers to test and modify systems-level software or hardware and contribute to wireless protocol validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute manual and automated system/software tests
- Develop and maintain test plans, scenarios, and procedures
- Analyze and interpret wireless specifications
- Log and document system-level defects using bug tracking tools
- Troubleshoot and report problems related to program output or behavior
- Write and maintain testing scripts for automated systems
- Conduct detailed log analysis to identify root causes
- Fix errors in existing automation scripts and create new ones when needed
- Communicate status updates and technical issues to project leads
- Provide structured and clear reports on test activities
- Collaborate within the project team to meet objectives
- Adapt to changes and manage timelines effectively
- Participate in continuous learning to build technical competencies
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of WLAN and Bluetooth protocols is mandatory
- Familiarity with programming or scripting languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, or Python is preferred
- Hands-on experience with Source Code Control, CI/CD tools, and bug tracking systems is an advantage
- Ability to think analytically and solve moderately complex technical problems
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently under guidance
