Job Description:
Qualcomm is seeking talented and self-driven graduate engineers to join as Associate Software Engineers. As part of our growing engineering teams, you will contribute to designing and developing software for Qualcomm’s cutting-edge mobile chipsets. This is an opportunity to work on industry-leading technologies and help shape the future of connectivity and intelligent systems.

You will have the opportunity to work on technologies that power innovations across diverse industries—automotive, healthcare, IoT, smart cities, robotics, and more. From multimedia to modem and platform-level software, you'll be part of a team that pushes the boundaries of what’s possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop real-time embedded software and device drivers
  • Mobile software development for Android, Windows Mobile, or Linux
  • Implement multimedia technologies including audio, video, and image processing
  • Develop and maintain software stacks, firmware, and drivers for embedded platforms
  • Work on wireless modem and connectivity firmware development
  • Contribute to communication protocol stack software
  • Participate in platform-level development including kernel, BSP, and device drivers
  • Engage in UI and application development for embedded systems
  • Apply object-oriented design principles in software architecture

Technologies and Domains You May Work On:

  • Multimedia Technologies: Audio/Video codecs, Imaging
  • Wireless Technologies: 4G, LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Self-Organizing Networks
  • Operating Systems: Linux, Android, Windows
  • IoT: Connected cameras, drones, smart assistants, AR/VR platforms

Candidate Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of operating systems and data structures
  • Proficient in C, C++, and object-oriented programming
  • Exposure to wireless network standards such as GSM, UMTS, LTE, CDMA
  • Experience with Linux/Unix environments, including Linux kernel and driver development
  • Knowledge of networking protocols like TCP, UDP, IP, SIP, RTP
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
