About the Role
As a QA Engineer Intern at Mico, you will gain practical experience in ensuring the quality of software applications. You will work closely with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to execute test cases, identify and document bugs, and contribute to process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Testing: Perform manual and automated testing, including functional, regression, and exploratory tests for web and mobile applications.
- Programming & Tools: Utilize programming skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript along with tools such as Selenium, Cypress, and Appium to create reusable test scripts and integrate them into development pipelines.
- Bug Management: Identify, document, track, and report software defects clearly to the development team.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and resolve issues effectively.
- Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, and testing reports.
- Process Improvement: Suggest and contribute to enhancements in testing processes and methodologies.
- Learning: Stay updated on QA tools, techniques, and industry best practices while actively participating in team discussions.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies, programming (Java/Python), or testing tools (JIRA, Selenium) is advantageous.
