Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Process Automation Intern to join our in-house legal team in Pune, India. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of law and technology, contributing to efficiency, digital transformation, and innovation within our legal operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and document legal workflows to identify automation opportunities.
- Design and implement automation solutions using low-code/no-code platforms such as Microsoft Power Automate, Zapier, Make, and Airtable, as well as custom coding when required.
- Develop scripts and applications using Python, JavaScript, or similar languages for complex automation tasks, data analysis, and integrations.
- Utilize AI/ML tools, including NLP and large language models, to automate legal tasks such as contract review, clause extraction, and compliance checks.
- Integrate automation with existing legal systems including Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platforms and intellectual property management tools.
- Collaborate with legal and IT teams to translate business requirements into technical workflows.
- Provide training to legal professionals on new automation tools and encourage adoption.
- Monitor performance of automation solutions, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Interest or foundational experience in process automation, RPA tools, or workflow optimization.
- Hands-on familiarity with Microsoft Power Automate or similar low-code/no-code platforms.
- Basic proficiency in Python for scripting, data manipulation, or API integrations.
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts, NLP libraries, or LLM frameworks is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to detail, curiosity, and enthusiasm for leveraging technology in legal processes.
Preferred Skills
- Certifications or coursework in Power Platform, Python, AI/ML, or related fields.
- Experience in automation or AI projects through academic, internship, or self-driven initiatives.
- Familiarity with legal-tech tools, CLM systems, or document automation platforms.
