Overview
Job Description
As a member of Oracle’s software engineering division, you will be responsible for developing, debugging, and designing software applications or operating systems based on given specifications. You will contribute to building enhancements within existing architectures and occasionally recommend improvements to current systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop enhancements and maintain existing software applications.
- Design and create reports, including data fetching using SQL, processing, and visual representation.
- Understand project scope, gather requirements, estimate efforts, and execute tasks efficiently.
- Participate in discussions for component-level technical design.
- Communicate with clients and stakeholders to align on requirements and feedback.
- Conduct debugging sessions and document root cause analyses.
- Suggest process improvements to support development and operations.
- Provide support during software releases.
- Learn and apply knowledge of healthcare workflows and the Millennium data model.
- Adhere to corporate security policies and prevent/report any compromises.
- Take on other responsibilities as assigned.
- Willingness to work additional or irregular hours as required and permitted by local laws.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in SQL and PL-SQL
- Solid understanding of database management systems
- Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, and C++
- Familiarity with Git for version control
- Unit testing and debugging capabilities
- Data analysis and report generation
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and collaboration
- Attention to detail and adaptability
- Good time management and willingness to learn continuously
- Basic mentoring skills to support peers
Preferred/Good to Have Skills
- Experience with business intelligence tools (Tableau, Business Object, Power Insight, DA2)
- Knowledge of CCL and healthcare workflows
