About the Team

The Insurance Solutions team within Morgan Stanley Investment Management supports insurance prospects, clients, and strategic partners with tailored investment solutions across multiple asset classes. The team focuses on capital-efficient strategies, insurance portfolio optimization, strategic asset allocation, reporting transparency, and risk governance while considering industry regulations and market changes.

This role is part of the Mumbai-based Portfolio Manager Support Services Group and supports multiple initiatives across the team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain data by sourcing, cleaning, and validating information from multiple inputs to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Create and maintain reporting outputs including dashboards, charts, and automated daily, weekly, or monthly reports.
• Support multiple projects across the team’s focus areas and assist with analytical and reporting needs.

Skills Desired

• Advanced proficiency in VBA, Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, and Python or R.
• Strong understanding of financial fundamentals, including major asset classes and financial statement analysis.
• Familiarity with the U.S. life insurance industry and statutory (SAP) reporting or statutory statements is preferred.
• Exposure to portfolio management, particularly public and private fixed income, is considered beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, Statistics, or a related discipline.
