Job Description
As a Software Engineer at Mercor, you will directly contribute to building and optimizing our AI-based hiring platform aimed at creating billions of job opportunities. You’ll be involved in everything from refining the interview experience to managing payment systems and developing the most efficient recruiting engine in the world.

Key Responsibilities

• Enhance and scale Mercor’s AI-powered interview experience
• Develop and maintain high-performance backend and frontend systems
• Process high-volume financial transactions securely and reliably
• Contribute to database schema design for both SQL and NoSQL environments
• Ensure system reliability and scalability on cloud platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet product goals

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
• Ability to work evening hours in alignment with PT timezone (till at least 11am PT)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Technical Skills Required
React, Next.js, Python, Go, SQL, NoSQL, GCP, AWS

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience with one or more modern frontend frameworks
• Strong backend programming and API development skills
• Experience in designing and deploying on cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP)

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary ranging from $20,000 to $100,000 per year
• Performance-based bonuses up to 40% of base compensation
• $1,000 referral bonuses available for successful referrals
