Job Description
Kaplan is seeking enthusiastic and skilled individuals to join its Associate Software Engineer Internship Program, with a pathway to full-time employment. This role is ideal for early-career engineers who are passionate about building impactful solutions in the education and technology space. You will be involved in the full software development lifecycle, contributing to innovative projects that shape the future of learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle
- Write, test, and document code for new and existing applications
- Debug and troubleshoot software issues in a timely manner
- Deliver reliable and high-quality software to end-users
- Write test cases for various testing types such as functional, integration, and performance testing
- Improve system and process documentation
- Collaborate in an Agile environment and actively participate in scrum ceremonies
- Adhere to coding and architecture standards across the team

30-day notice period is preferred
Required Technical Skills

Minimum Qualifications
- Strong foundation in software development principles and object-oriented programming
- Ability to write unit tests and debug code effectively
- Familiarity with Agile workflows and team development tools (e.g., Git, Jira)
- Awareness of architectural principles including scalability and modularity
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on exposure to front-end and/or back-end development technologies
- Understanding of modularization and object-oriented design patterns
Compensation
- All full-time positions are paid at least $31,200 USD per year (equivalent INR based on current market)
- Eligibility for performance bonuses or commissions based on role
