Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and creative Junior UI Developer with a solid grasp of jQuery and experience working with JSP-based applications. The selected candidate will contribute to developing, maintaining, and enhancing responsive user interfaces for enterprise-level web applications, ensuring high usability, performance, and visual consistency.

Work Mode: Hybrid
Shift Timings: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Day Shift)
Location: Mumbai
Experience: 0 - 2 years

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with UI/UX designers and backend Java developers to build and improve JSP-based web interfaces.
• Convert Figma or design mockups into responsive web pages using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and JSP.
• Implement and customize jQuery plugins such as DataTables, Datepicker, Select2, Tooltips, and other interactive components.
• Maintain and update JSP templates and reusable UI components.
• Integrate frontend functionality with Java-based backend services via REST APIs.
• Perform cross-browser testing, debugging, and UI performance optimization.
• Ensure consistent design language and compliance with WCAG accessibility standards.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and code reviews.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and jQuery.
• Experience with jQuery plugins (DataTables, Datepicker, Select2, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of JSP and its integration in Java-based web applications.
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks like React.js, Angular, or Vue.js is an advantage.
• Experience in responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git, GitHub, SVN).
• Understanding of REST API integration in JSP or Java projects.
• Awareness of UI/UX principles and component-based design.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with CSS preprocessors (SASS/SCSS).
• Knowledge of Bootstrap, Material UI, or Tailwind CSS.
• Exposure to Figma or similar design tools.
• Understanding of JSTL, Expression Language (EL), and custom JSP tags.
• Familiarity with Spring MVC or Struts frameworks.
