Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Brand Protection & External Risk Monitoring:
- Monitor threats including phishing domains, fake websites, malicious mobile apps, and impersonation attempts.
- Review alerts generated by brand protection and digital risk monitoring tools.
- Validate alerts to eliminate false positives and escalate confirmed incidents as per defined protocols.
- Track takedown activities and ensure timely closure.
- Reporting, Documentation & Compliance:
- Prepare regular reports on API governance and brand monitoring activities.
- Maintain trackers, dashboards, and audit evidence.
- Follow established SOPs, escalation matrices, and security policies.
- Assist in internal audits and regulatory reviews by providing necessary data.
- Coordination & Support:
- Collaborate with application teams, platform teams, and vendors for issue resolution.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to monitor progress and resolution timelines.
- Support senior team members during security reviews and assessments.
- API Governance & Monitoring:
- Assist in API governance activities and monitoring tasks.
Qualifications
Graduate or Engineering graduate in Computer Science, IT, Cyber Security, or related discipline. Fresh graduates with relevant internships or coursework are encouraged to apply.
Experience
0–1 years of experience in IT, information security operations, or security monitoring.
Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of phishing, brand abuse, and common cyber attack methods.
- Knowledge of domains, URLs, DNS, and internet-facing assets.
- Proficiency in Excel and reporting dashboards.
- Familiarity with APIs, REST concepts, endpoints, and authentication methods.
- Awareness of API security concepts such as API keys, OAuth, rate limiting, and encryption.
Soft Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Willingness to learn security tools and technologies.
- Ability to follow processes and escalation protocols.
- Team collaboration and stakeholder coordination skills.
