Job Description
As a Student Intern in IAM/Cybersecurity, you will collaborate with experienced professionals to support the design, implementation, and operation of enterprise identity and access management solutions. This internship provides hands-on exposure to modern IAM technologies, cybersecurity practices, and real-world business challenges.
Responsibilities
- Assist in configuring and managing IAM platforms (e.g., Azure AD, Okta, Saviynt, SailPoint) for user provisioning, access reviews, and Single Sign-On (SSO).
- Support the implementation of security controls such as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), privileged access management, and policy enforcement.
- Participate in monitoring system logs, analyzing security events, and responding to incidents under supervision.
- Help document IAM processes, prepare reports on access requests, and maintain compliance records.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to troubleshoot access issues and support onboarding/offboarding processes.
- Contribute to automation scripts and workflows for identity lifecycle management (joiner/mover/leaver).
- Stay current on cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices; participate in team knowledge-sharing sessions.
Learning Outcomes
- Gain practical experience with enterprise IAM tools and protocols (OAuth2, SAML, SCIM, RBAC).
- Develop foundational skills in cybersecurity operations, risk assessment, and incident response.
- Build proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
- Understand regulatory frameworks (GDPR, PCI, NIST) and their impact on identity management.
