Job Description
As an IP Design Verification Engineer within the Unified Intel Chassis team, you will contribute to validating Intel's advanced technologies against strict quality and performance requirements. The role focuses on functional verification of IP logic to confirm designs meet specification goals and operate reliably before silicon production.
You will work closely with architects, RTL developers, and physical design teams to review technical plans and strengthen verification methodologies. The work directly supports the creation of reliable intellectual property used across Intel products.
Key Responsibilities
- Create IP verification plans, test benches, and verification environments based on microarchitecture specifications.
- Execute verification plans using system simulation models to validate design functionality and detect issues.
- Debug failures in pre-silicon environments, identify root causes, and implement fixes for failing tests.
- Partner with architects and RTL developers to improve verification coverage of complex architectural and microarchitectural features.
- Prepare documentation for test plans and participate in technical reviews with design and architecture teams.
- Maintain and enhance existing functional verification infrastructure and methodologies.
- Support the definition of verification infrastructure and create TFMs needed for functional design verification.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 0 to 1 year of experience in IP verification with a Bachelor's degree, or no prior experience with a Master's degree.
- Proficiency with SystemVerilog and hardware simulation environments.
- Familiarity with OVM and UVM verification methodologies.
- Understanding of IP test writing, test planning, and validation tools.
- Ability to debug and resolve issues using hardware simulation tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of CPU architecture concepts and digital design fundamentals.
- Experience with C based languages including C, C++, or C#.
- Understanding of interconnect technologies.
- Ability to collaborate with cross functional engineering teams.
- Interest in improving verification methodologies and engineering processes.
