Role Purpose

This role handles general customer interactions within a contact centre environment across multiple products or propositions. The position focuses on delivering high-quality service and completing the Video Customer Identification Process (VCIP) during the first customer interaction whenever possible.

The role requires ownership of customer requests, ensuring resolution through the defined process while meeting individual performance indicators and maintaining strong quality and compliance standards.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Assist customers in submitting their KYC information through a video call from a location convenient to them, ensuring compliance and faster onboarding.
  • Provide customer service through face-to-face video interaction to accelerate the KYC verification process.
  • Demonstrate HSBC group values and behaviours (Open, Connected, Dependable) while supporting colleagues and customers.
  • Conduct Customer Due Diligence according to the established Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of operational risk and reduce the likelihood of issues through identification, assessment, mitigation, and reporting.
  • Adhere to HSBC internal control standards and address audit observations or regulatory issues promptly.
  • Promote a strong compliance culture within the team and ensure all required training is completed.
  • Support positive and compliant engagement with regulators where necessary.

Qualifications

  • Minimum graduation or the qualification required for the role.
  • Proficiency in the language(s) required for the process.
  • Willingness to work in flexible shift schedules.
  • Ability to operate in a high-volume and fast-paced work environment.
  • Comfortable using personal computers, basic software packages, and specialised applications.
  • Strong communication abilities.
