Technical Support Engineer
Description
This role involves providing technical assistance for computer systems and IT software to Japanese users through phone support. The engineer is expected to deliver effective IT-related solutions within the specified time while ensuring customer requirements are met.
Responsibilities
- Provide phone-based technical support to Japanese users for computer hardware, operating systems, and IT software.
- Deliver timely IT solutions and resolve customer issues according to service expectations.
Requirements
- Diploma or higher educational qualification.
- Fluent business-level Japanese with clear pronunciation.
- Experience studying or working in Japan is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software technologies.
- Prior technical background or call center experience is considered an advantage.
- Proficiency in office tools such as Outlook and Excel.
- Strong ability to communicate logically and learn independently.
- Able to work in a shift-based schedule and handle a fast-paced support environment.
Working Schedule
The service operates 365 days a year. Employees follow a five-days-on, two-days-off rotating shift schedule. Typical shifts include 08:00–17:00 or 11:00–20:00. Compensatory leave is provided for weekend work.
Work From Home Option
Employees may request work-from-home approval from their direct manager if the following conditions are met:
- More than six months of service with the company.
- Ability to complete tasks independently without assistance.
- Consistently strong performance.
- Home environment meets the technical and workspace requirements for remote work.
