Overview
Job Summary
This position focuses on designing and developing software systems that operate across multiple platform types. The role involves coding software components, preparing and executing test plans, and debugging scripts and tools. It also includes gathering and analyzing user and system requirements to guide accurate software design and development.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
- Develop and maintain software components, modules, or applications using suitable programming languages and technologies.
- Integrate software systems with existing infrastructure, databases, APIs, and third‑party services to enable seamless data flow and functionality.
- Implement updates, improvements, and modifications for portions of systems software such as operating systems, compilers, networking tools, utilities, databases, and internet-related tools.
- Execute defined test plans and protocols for assigned code areas, identify issues, log defects, and debug problems.
- Participate in concept design discussions, gather system-level requirements, clarify interfaces, and contribute feedback for future design improvements.
- Support the lifecycle of services from initial design through deployment, operations, and continuous improvement.
- Provide assistance with system design consulting, software platform development, framework creation, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
- Build working relationships with internal teams and external development partners involved in software system design and development.
- Collaborate with other software systems engineers within project teams to deliver reliable, cost‑effective, and high‑quality solutions for low to moderately complex products.
Education and Experience
A four‑year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline is recommended. Equivalent work experience or demonstrated technical competence may also be considered. Candidates typically have 0 to 2 years of experience in systems engineering, programming, or a related technical field.

- Certified Software Systems Engineer (CSSE)

Additional Information
