Job Summary
This role supports the efficient procurement of goods and services required for organizational operations. The position assists the procurement team with supplier identification and onboarding, purchase order management, and execution of commodity strategies. The work contributes to the overall effectiveness of the procurement function.
Responsibilities
- Provide procurement support for basic commodities that require limited technical specialization.
- Carry out process-oriented activities such as receiving purchase requests, conducting procurement and financial checks, and using automated systems while applying sound judgment.
- Standardize fulfillment workflows, operational tools, and supplier management procedures.
- Work with business owners to identify and onboard vendors, manage purchase requisitions, and oversee purchase orders.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and benchmark procurement performance.
- Strengthen relationship management strategies with current, past, and potential suppliers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to meet commodity objectives, business controls, and compliance requirements.
- Support cross-functional initiatives by executing commodity strategies through tactical delivery.
- Stay informed about industry trends and procurement practices to identify improvement opportunities.
- Deliver training sessions for employees on procurement tools and processes.
